My Writing Assessment

On Monday 4th November we did a writing assessment. I was very excited because one of my passions is to write. Mainly I write about fantasy and adventure. I am very inspired from an author named Rick Riordan.

The Whisper

“AHHHHHH” suddenly I woke up in a cold sweat I remembered the corridor the endless corridor, and the whispers. Every night the same nightmare and the same whispers going on for ever. I would scream and yell and cry but my parents wouldn’t come. I would tell them in the morning and they would just tell it wasn’t real, but I knew better. On this particular night though it was different. As usual I walked down the corridor waiting for all the monsters behind the walls in the curtains and hiding in the shadows. But something different happened, the corridor came to an end. Shakily I opened the door wondering what was going to happen. In the room a tall shadowy figure stood silently.” hello who are you?” I asked. The shadowy figure was about to answer when someone shook me awake, a mysterious looking man was standing above me, he grinned.” your coming with me!” the man said as he yanked my arm. I screamed out in a desperate call but I knew it was hopeless, my parents never heard me so why would they now. Suddenly my giant bookshelf toppled over and hit the man on the head. I looked around surprised and I caught a glimpse of a small black mist and a voice whispered in my mind” we need to go now or you’ll die!” the voice said quickly.” wait what about my parents and who are you?” I asked.
“Those aren’t your parents, they’ve been keeping an eye on you making sure you wouldn’t make it to the end of that corridor.”
“Wait that was you at the end of the corridor?”
“Yes and by you opening that door you managed to set me free so that I can keep you alive.”
“But what's happening to me?” I asked.
“You have special abilities that allow you to do magic and see the dead, the people who just tried to take you away are trying to make you into a weapon to….” the voice was interrupted by the banging on the door.
“Quickly use your powers.” the voice said.
“What I don’t know how to” I replied.
“Just think of where you want to go,” he said.
“Uhhhhh ummm okay” I said as I focused in my mind.
“ I don’t know where to go!” I said hopelessly.
“Well here think of the Egyptians camp.”
“What are you even talking about.”
“Just do it!.” I focused my mind and thought of Egyptian camp and I closed my eyes.

Egyptian Camp

I opened my eyes and in front of me were a group of teenagers about the same age as me.” who are you?” they asked.
“Pls don’t hurt me” I pleaded. I rushed through the story of what happened and they looked confused.
“You summoned the god of death” they said astonished.
“Who now” I asked.
“You summoned the god of death through your dreams.”
“I don’t know” I replied.
A small kid came running up to us screaming “INVASION INVASION!” he cried.
“What's going on” of the boys said.
“In my visions I saw a giant invasion” he said as he looked at me and suddenly his jaw dropped.” SISTER!” he cried as he ran to hug me.
“What are you talking about” I asked confused.
“You don’t recognise… oh no no no no,” he said.
“What whats oh no” I asked.
“They erased your memories” he said as he sat on the ground crying.
“Who erased my memories!” I said as I fell to my knees.” I don’t know what's going on in my whole life is a lie all my memories are gone and I didn’t even know I had a brother!” suddenly the voice appeared back in my mind.” I can restore it” the voice said.
“What how.” the other boys and my brother looked up “ um sis you okay.”
“The god of death is speaking to me,” I replied.
“What!” one of the boys said.” whats he saying.”
“Wait” I said. Suddenly I gasped and fell on the ground and blacked out.
