Teaser Week Roald Dahl

The Big Friendly Giant Description

The BFG is a kind giant who isn't like the rest of the other giants, he is kind and gentle and likes to collect dreams and give them to little children so they have good dreams. He is stubborn when it comes to facts that he knows and he is shy to people. he is skin and bone and doesn't have muscles because he is a vegetarian and he can only eat this disgusting looking cucumber. He is sad because he can't go to the outside world because the humans would take him away. He wishes to eat normal food and be a normal person. He has very good ears that give him super hearing.

  1. Kia Ora Drew,

Wow Drew, you’ve done an amazing job describing the BFG. I read the book when I was younger and I absolutely adored him. I really like how you’ve described him so perfectly. I also really like how you’ve included an illustration. His big ears are beautiful and I like that you’ve given him a lovely smile.

I see you mentioned the BFG’s distaste for snozzcumbers. I don’t think I’d like them very much either. What is your favourite food? Mine is sweet and sour chicken. Its my absolute favourite and I make it all the time. I love it on rice. What’s a food you don’t particularly like? I’m not a big fan of tomatoes, but I make sure to eat them if they’re on my plate. They’re not so bad if you mix them with something else.

    Hei konā mai,
    Shannon
